Samsung has won a temporary stay on the Galaxy Nexus, and can resume sales until next week, when Apple is required to respond to the Federal Appeals Court.

Last week Apple won a temporary US injunction against Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet and the Galaxy Nexus.

Samsung will continue to sell the smartphone, temporarily until Apple responds to the appeals court and a hearing determines if the ban should be in effect until the end of the patent infringement trial scheduled for 26 July.

“Apple has until 12 July to respond to the motion, and the court will then decide on the possibility and duration of a stay for the entire length of the appeal process”, according to Florian Mueller on FOSSPatents.

The Federal Appeals Court continued the ban on Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1.
