Apple has added five new members to its leadership press page, with bios on vice presidents Paul Deneve, Lisa Jackson, Joel Podolny, Johny Srouji and Denise Young Smith arriving on the page over the weekend.
In the past, Apple has kept the press page for senior vice presidents, making the move to include other members of the executive team a first for the Cupertino-based company.
Paul Deneve is involved in special projects for Apple and, alongside Lisa Jackson, is a relative newbie at Apple, joining the company last year. Jackson oversees the company’s environmental initiatives, an area on which Apple has heavily focused in recent times, especially the push towards renewable energy.
Denise Young Smith is in charge of Apple’s worldwide human resources and Joel Podolny is the dean of Apple University. Both were promoted to their positions earlier this year.
The final vice president, Johny Srouji, has been overseeing the hardware technologies division for over a year.
According to a diversity report from Apple last week, the company is seeking to improve its gender balance and the addition of Lisa Jackson and Denise Young Smith to its executive page appears to be a step in this direction.
