Apple updates Final Cut Pro X

Apple has updated Final Cut Pro X, its professional video editing software, to 10.0.4. Motion has also been updated, and is now version 5.0.3.

The Final Cut Pro update improves overall stability, performance and compatibility, according to the app’s update release notes.

These improvements include image quality and responsiveness of broadcast monitoring with compatible third-party PCIe and Thunderbolt I/O devices, performance of multicam syncing and editing, and the addition of language support for Simplified Chinese. Several minor bugs have also been fixed in the update.

Apple’s Motion update also improves overall stability and performance, including improved loading time for projects, improved performance of text editing in Canvas, and a fix for several bugs.

Apple last updated Final Cut Pro X to version 10.0.3 on 31 January, when the video editing app received a “significant update”. The new features included multi-cam editing, advanced chroma keying, and enhanced XML features were added.
