Apple’s 7in tablet is expected to be announced at the company’s media event next week but the iPad mini will not be available to consumers until November 2, according to reports.
A report from Geek Gadgets claims to have heard from a UK retailer that the iPad mini will ship from November 2, a thought tweeted by 9to5Mac.
November 2 fits with Apple’s release schedule, with the company generally waiting a week-and-a-half after an announcement to release a product to the public – often on a Friday.
The report also believes pre-orders for the iPad mini could begin on October 26, however – obviously – the dates are still yet to be confirmed.
A smaller iPad tablet has been rumoured for a period of time, with reports claiming it could be Wi-Fi only, boast a 7.85in Retina display, Lightning dock connector and possibly 4G LTE connectivity.
