Attendees at user group the Apple User’s Society of Melbourne‘s (AUSOM’s) next monthly meeting will get a rare treat, in the form of a presentation from the manager of Victoria’s only Apple Store, as the group celebrates its 30th year in operation and a high-profile new location in the Melbourne PC User Group’s premises in the Chadstone Shopping Centre.

Apple Store Chadstone manager James Johnson will kick off a two-hour presentation session at AUSOM’s March meeting – to be held at 1:00pm on Saturday 7 March – and will also make several Apple Store Genius Bar and Creative Team specialists available to answer attendees’ questions on the day.

The presentation marks the first meeting of the 800-strong AUSOM group in the new premises, which are located on the second floor of Chadstone Shopping Centre (directions here) and mark a significant boost in the Melbourne PC User Group’s profile.

Cooperation between the two user groups marks a significant step in their new relationship, according to AUSOM president Dick Johnson. “AUSOM’s relocation to excellent new premises is a real coup and will enable us to provide better facilities and services to our members,” Johnson said in a statement. “It’s also a great opportunity to develop and build a cooperative and mutually beneficial relationship with the Melbourne PC User Group.”

The meeting is open to members and non-members alike.
