Apple Special Event – when will new products arrive?

Apple, logo, macworld australiaIn the buzz following yesterday’s event, we’ve gone through the multiple announcements so you know when you fire up your software updaters and clear the credit cards.

iOS9 – release date in 16 September in the US, so we can expect it to be available to us next Thursday, 17 September.

OS X El Capitan – release date in 30 September in the US, so we can expect it to arrive on 1 October for us

watchOS2 – release date in 16 September in the US, so we can expect it to be available to us next Thursday, 17 September

iPad Pro – there’s no definite date but Apple says November. US Pricing is 32GB for US$799, 64GB for US$949 and 128GB for US$1079

iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus – pre-orders open on 11 September in the US, so that’s tomorrow for us. the new iPhone will ship two weeks later with pricing starting at $1079 for an outright purchase of the entry level 16GB iPhone 6S

Apple TV – Apple didn’t actually put an official date in their official announcements but we’re expecting it in October some time. US Pricing is US$149 and US$199 for the 32GB and 64GB units respectively, we’re thinking something around the $199 and $249 mark locally
