Apple Retina Display patent published

The US Patent & Trademark office has published a patent application from Apple regarding a system and method to improve image edge discolouration, the technology that sits at the heart of the new MacBook Pro with Retina Display.

Inside the patent Apple states: “some embodiments of the LCD panel may be a model of the Retina display available from Apple Inc.

While the retina display is already available, on both the iPhone, iPad and now MacBook Pro, it’s still an interesting read if you’d like to know more about the technology.
