Apple has released a second beta of the iPhone OS 4.0 and associated software development kit (SDK) to developers.

The first iPhone OS 4.0 beta was released earlier this month following Apple’s keynote announcing the new version of the operating system. The OS 4.0 betas are only available to iPhone developers enrolled in Apple’s iPhone Developer Program (US$99 per year).

iPhone OS 4.0 is expected to be released in the American summer, and will likely correspond with the release of a new phone (possibly this one?) in June or July.
