Apple is poised to open its eleventh Australian retail store, with plans for a new site in the western Sydney suburb of Penrith. This afternoon Apple posted a position vacant notice on its careers section, with a future retail role opening up in Penrith.

The company is currently seeking staff for front of house, specialists, creative and its Genius Bar roles.

The Penrith Apple store will be New South Wales’ sixth, which includes Apple’s flagship shop on George Street. Its opening comes on the back of a record-breaking $US$26.74 bn quarterly sales for the company, with Mac, iPhone and iPad products performing particularly well in the Asia-Pacific region.

Apple declined to comment on the impeding store opening, stating merely that the company had nothing to announce.

Stay tuned for further details about the store’s position, and a timetable for its opening.
