Australian customers had to deal with a significant delay for iPads after they were a massive success in the US. Even since the belated release here, we’ve  had to cope with extended shipping wait times. But Apple’s production appears to have recently caught up to demand, as the company is now saying that it will ship the tablet within 24 hours of ordering from its online store.

For the last couple of months, Apple’s online store has listed a 7-10 business day lead time on shipping the iPad, regardless of capacity and whether you opted for the Wi-Fi-only or Wi-Fi + 3G model. Both models now carry a ship time of 24 hours. Instant gratification just got one step closer.

Head on over to to grab one now. Well, much sooner than you could previously.
