Apple is set to ship its 30-pin to Lightning adapters, with customers reportedly receiving shipping notifications from Apple.

According to MacRumors, customers in Australia have been informed their adapters will be delivered this week, with some indicating an arrival today.

Apple has two adapters for sale – a $35 small, plug adapter and a $45 20cm cable adapter – that connect the company’s 30-pin dock, used in iOS devices released before the launch of the iPhone 5, to the 8-pin Lightning dock used in the lastest generation smartphone.

The Lightning dock was introduced with the iPhone 5 in September and is thought to be included in Apple’s range of iOS devices with new generations.
