Yesterday Siri leaked the opening of Apple’s new retail store in the Broadway shopping centre in Sydney.

And this morning Apple sent out a press release confirming the grand opening of the new Apple Store, Broadway, opening this Saturday 30 June at 10am.

Prior to the company’s announcement Gizmodo Australia posted a screenshot showing Siri revealing where the new store was, with directions to help take you there, if you have iOS 6.

However just over a year ago Macworld Australia reported that Apple was planning the new Store at Broadway Shopping Centre  after a scoop from multiple retailers and leaked documentation.

Now that Apple has finally confirmed the opening this weekend, its also been confirmed that the new store location is positioned close to competitor and Apple reseller Next Byte.

The new Apple Store will be a ‘baby brother’ to the larger premises on George Street, and will be located at Shop 305-307 Broadway Shopping Centre, Broadway Sydney.

Apple is also allowing you to ‘Make a Reservation‘ to visit the new store.

3 people were compelled to have their say. We encourage you to do the same..

  1. Ed Groenescheij says:

Hopefully it will not “be lactated at Shop 305-307 Broadway Shopping Centre”, rather it will be located there… ;-)

  2. Macworld Australia Staff says:

    Fixed! Quite funny, though …

  3. Phoenix says:

Why are they consistently going into direct competition with the resellers. Mac-1 and NextByte have always been such fantastic and loyal outlets of al things Mac and are suffering because of apples decisions.
