Apple Stores around the world went offline for some time yesterday, and instead of surprising us with new Macs, Apple has made it easier to compare its current offerings to make the purchase decision easier. The online Apple Store now features a “Compare a Mac” option, where up to three Macs with standard or custom configurations can be viewed side-by-side.

The three Macs of your choice can be compared on hardware, software, technical specifications, environmental status report, and a configuration summary, which are each further broken down into components and sub-categories.
