Apple’s Aperture app was temporarily removed from the US Mac App Store despite its top ranking amongst other apps, indicating that a new version could be on its way.

When the Mac App Store launched in January, Aperture 3 was one of the most popular apps, helped along by its heavily discounted price of $US79.99 reports Appleinsider. Since then, the app has remained in the top grossing programs available in the Mac App Store.

Aperture 3 temporarily disappeared f from the US Mac App Store with no explanation, or mention of an update to follow. Apple’s Aperture 3 page remained available during this time, offering a free 30 day trial as per usual.

Aperture 3 is now back and available for sale in the US Mac App Store, still listed as the top grossing app. Australian users  reported that the program was never removed from its Mac App Store.
