The winners of Australian Macworld’s last-chance opportunity to gain entry to the 2009 Canon EOS photo5 photography competition have been chosen! The nine readers whose photographs are displayed below (in no particular order) will now receive one of the coveted brown paper boxes — and the chance to win Canon EOS 5D Mk2 kit worth over $6,000.
The competition is based on a creative brief centred around five objects in a box sent to registered participants. Last year, the EOS photo5 objects included a ribbon, crayon, cocktail umbrella, tea light candle and some bubble mixture.
The game has changed this year – the competition is bigger, better and more challenging than ever before. The rules have changed, the prizes have changed, the briefs have changed and the level of difficulty has definitely changed!
The AMW winners have all been emailed, but if you weren’t one of them you can still enter the ‘open brief’ part of the competition. Anyone can take an image responding to this brief and, once the upload period begins on September 28, can create a mycanon account and enter their image.
Winners of the photo5 competition will be announced by Canon on November 23. Every winner (five in total) receives an EOS 5D Mark II Premium Kit (with EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM) and a trip to Queensland, hosted by professional adventure photographer Chris Bray.
