Adobe has followed through on its promise to add additional features to Creative Suite 6 for subscribers to its Creative Cloud apps-and-services bundle.
Launching “soon”, an update to Illustrator CS6 will allow artists and designers to package file assets for a project in a similar way to the long-established Package feature in InDesign.
Packaging brings together linked images and fonts – though not some East Asian fonts in this first update – and creates a report listing exactly what’s included.

Creative Cloud costs $62.99 per month if you sign up for a year, or $94.99 on a rolling month-by-month contract. Until 31 August, Adobe’s offering owners of the chance for owners of CS3 or later products or suites to ‘upgrade’ to Creative Cloud for $37.99 per month.
