Canon discusses quake’s impact

One of the world’s largest technology companies, Canon, is a quintessentially Japanese firm. After the catastrophic earthquake, tsunami and subsequent nuclear disaster, there’ve been fears not only for staff, but facilities, manufacturing, and the availability of third party component supplies.

Canon Australia’s head of marketing, Darren Ryan and public relations manager, Andrew Giles discussed the quake’s impact on the company, explaining that the situation is serious and remains uncertain, although their own staff remain largely unharmed.
