Mac-in-Business

Welcome to Macworld Australia’s Mac in Business, the new home for business-minded Apple users.

We started this section as we appreciate that technology is a critical foundation for the success of your business.

This is the place where we are going to discuss the latest news, reviews and opinion concerning those who work with Mac and iOS devices day to day. A place where you can come for help about getting the most out of your Apple investment.

We understand that everyone uses their devices differently and will accommodate a range of business areas and sizes. This new section will cover the pertinent issues such as Bring Your Own Device (BYOD); the iOS and Mac apps that make document creation and sharing easier; the differences between Microsoft Word, Apple’s Pages, Google Docs and many more areas that where we hope to make your workplace more efficient.

We will focus on the gadgets and accessories that simplify work life, from keyboard cases to NAS storage units or wireless routers. This is the place to head to when you are looking for a new piece of kit. Need to know how it performs? Whether it is worth your money? Our reviews will break it down for you.

Look out for our Group Tests; they will show you the best options available in the market to suit your specific needs.

While many Mac, iPhone and iPad owners use their devices for purely personal pursuits, there are those who document, record and share as part of the their day to day work. What are the most efficient and effective app options for your needs? How can you start using it immediately to drive sales, connect with colleagues, create powerful presentations, reduce communication charges? We will examine the latest apps for enterprise users to help you make the best use of your time and the best impression for your business.

Not all users work in big business: a large number of Mac owners run small businesses either at home or in an office, so, when staff numbers are short, how do you maximise your time? Organising a home office is key to success and we will continue to bring you the best ways to sort your work life at home.

If business is how you connect to the Apple world, then Mac in Business should be your new destination for all things Mac and iOS.

Great that you have thought about Macs in business. But seriously – accessories like keyboards!?!?
How about software and how to integrate it with existing IT systems? How about compatibility issues?
I don’t think you are taking the Macs in business seriously enough.

  2. Macworld Australia Staff says:

    Hi Dave,

Thank you for your thoughts and the suggestion. Integrating software is something we will cover.
We are taking this new section very seriously.

    Regards,
    Jonathan
