Matrox DS1 Thunderbolt Docking Station Gadget Guide

Matrox DS1 brings convenience and connectivity to MacBook Air and MacBook Pro users. From a single Thunderbolt connection, you can add multiple peripherals including an HDMI display, full-size keyboard and a mouse. In addition, a Gigabit Ethernet port provides connectivity to a wired corporate network. Two versions are offered, one for use with DVI monitors and another for use with HDMI displays.

    Why are these so expensive? It’s a docking station for gods sake, then you have to add the price of the actual (currently sparse & overpriced) Thunderbolt peripherals as well. There is such a thing as pricing a format/standard into obscurity before it even takes off, no matter how good it may be!
