CES 2013: Aftershokz open-ear headphones Gadget Guide

Aftershokz open-ear headphones rest against the front part of the ear and use bone conduction technology to transmit sound through the cheekbones and into the inner ears. Because nothing ever enters the ear drum, you’re able to hear all ambient and surrounding noise. On display at CES was a wired version (Sportz M2; pictured) and a wireless version that operates using Bluetooth (Bluez). Aftershokz is currently not available outside the US but the company says Australian distribution is coming soon.
