Normally the easiest way, is transfer all your music to your iPhone / touch or iPod and then sync it to your new Mac, failing that if you don't have an iOS devise, toss a DVD into your drive, go to your home folder ~ music, and copy the entire folder to your DVD, pop that into your new Mac, find the folder and import your music into iTunes.

Thanks guys for your quick responses. It's telling me it will take up to a day to transfer all my music.

Sounds a bit odd. All I've done in the past is copy the files from the iTunes directory from backup to machine and it works fine.
There is a very good article on moving iTunes libraries here http://www.ilounge.c...new-hard-drive/ it is very thorough and I can say that it has worked for me before.

I have done the same as Jamie, a simple copy and paste of the iTunes folder (via removable HDD) and touch wood never had a problem when I've done clean installs or to a new Macbook.
