9 to 5 Mac have a spec sheet that has been leaked before WWDC. Looks like a full new line up to be released. But if you're hoping for a thinner MacBook Pro with a retina display you may be disappointed as a photo has been leaked of the packaging of the next MacBook Pro.

Well with a 500 buck, difference between the top end iMac, and the bottom end mac pro, i think the mac pro is a much better for value purchase.

But does that include peripherals? You can add at least another $1000 for a screen (one that's worth hooking up to the Mac Pro at least) and $150 for keyboard and mouse (assuming Apple's).

I won't believe anything until its formally announced but I have to say that if a TV is announced I will gladly never ever post in the forums againand will return to using Windows from that point on.

Its a price list, not a spec sheet. Prices are meaningless until you know the specs.

The server Mac Pro and low end Mac Pro prices are the same as current.

Now, if K5BPLUS, BEST is the high end 12-core Mac Pro, then bring it on, that would be great $1400 saving over current pricing, but if its just the top end 8-core then its a $400 price rise.

I will be happy to see a new Mac Pro, but I'm still not holding my breath.

Yeah yeah Ken we've been down that track and given up on the idea. Our new plan is to get out of Auckland to a smaller city (eg. Dunedin) before too long do that our daughter can start school in a safe place as where we live isn't that great.

On the subject of the Apple TV set my gut instinct just says it's not going to happen.

I'm hopeful that my insurance will cover it. Spoke to them today and need to take denture to a dental tech and get them to do a report then take it and claim form in to insurance company. Just hope it doesn't take too long to get sorted out as although I can work from home tomorrow I don't know how long work will be ok with me doing so.

It depends on your specific insurance policy, denture is with dental tech at the moment they are going to do a temporary repair so I can eat for the next few days (although a few days on a diet would do me good!) and then go to the insurance company saying that they are not economic to repair - now it's just the waiting game.

An explanation of my negative mood lately (this is hugely off topic and I apologize but want to be able to explain):

A few months ago after visiting my wife's parents and taking a day trip from their town to Dunedin (a small city in the lower half of the South Island) we made the decision that we wanted to relocate their to be near family and for schooling for our daughter when she reaches school age. My wife's parents live about 1.5 hours north of Dunedin and my parents are intending to live somewhere close to Dunedin when they return to NZ from Australia in a few years time (my father has recently been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and they want to be close to good medical support and Otago University which is based in Dunedin has the best and largest medical school in NZ).

The company I work for has offices all over the country including one in Dunedin and as I am IT support for the entire country and can realistically work from any office I approached my manager (based in Melbourne) and the CEO of the NZ company (based here in Auckland) and discussed with them the possibility of such a move. They both responded favorably and asked me to give them time frames which I did.

About a month after this the CEO announced that he was leaving (he leaves next week) and an interim CEO was appointed. There were then some changes to the IT system supply arrangement with our Australian arm which saw the NZ operation deciding to source their own IT infrastructure and have it in place in 12-24 months (as recommended by Australia but NZ has chosen to do this within 6-12 months). Once these decisions were made the interim CEO has advised that any ideas of my being able to relocate to Dunedin had to be cancelled as he wants IT to be in Auckland (note that he has no IT background so doesn't really understand that IT can operate from anywhere in the country that there is a connection to our network, or even remotely via. the Internet as I did form home on Friday).

We had already begin making plans for moving, had advised family and friends that it was a done deal so as you can understand it hasn't been the easiest time for us and unfortunately I have let the negativity affect me too much and have vented here in the forums in very much the wrong way.

I apologize for this and hope that my explanation above will help those who I may have offended understand the reasons behind my actions.

Sorry for the long and overly personal post but I felt an explanation was in order.

That's my plan Ken but as you can imagine job hunting in a city that we're not currently living in isn't the easiest. I'm applying for every job that I think I have a shot at (and some that I don't really but you have to aim high!).

If I'm lucky enough to get something we then have to find a rental down there then sell our house and then move - a big task.

Talking to Mum & Dad tonight they head to Brisbane for more tests next week and we'll know more then, fingers crossed that it might be good news as we could certainly use some about now.

who knows what we'll see. it's always fun to jump on here before a big event and speculate on what might be. i just love waking up in the morning the event is on and seeing how far off we all were

first off i just wanna see new software, thats OS X, iLife(which i doubt we'll see) iWork, and iOS 6 + updates to the iOS iWork and iLife apps

next i'd just love to see brand new macs across the board

oh and "one more thing" Apple TV set (which may just be empty wishes)

We pretty much know iOS6. I would wager on Mountain Lion - if they're going with an annual release it makes sense to do both OSes during WWDC.

I think iWork is a given as well go with ML and iCloud and now that iWork.com and Mobile Me are closing - they need iCloud in their key apps. iLife is effectively separate apps now (as is iWork but that's older) but isn't so old that it needs a refresh yet. I wonder if we'll see new iCloud features. If a new maps app is coming to iOS I wonder if we'll somehow see a new Mac app as well?

I think new hardware across the line is a safe bet as well - whether a keynote announcement or released during the week. Although I think it will only be the MacBook Pros (skinnier, no optical drive) and Air (retina displays) that get substantial industrial design updates. I think everything else (including Mac Pros) will be speed bumps, but retina displays are possible.

That's actually quite a lot! I think, though, that we need to settle down our expectations with iOS and OSX. Two mature OSes with annual updates are going to be incremental upgrades (although I hope for more from iOS this year). And we mostly know what's coming in ML.
