Facebook is only days away from a public float, which could value the company as high as 70 billion dollars.

So my question is, if you had a spare couple of hundred would you buy shares, or just keep your hard earned cash in your pocket ?

That is an interesting question Ken, FB could be an interesting option that is for sure. But given that I do not agree with their philosophy of hard core selling data ...I will never invest in such company or any company that glean data for resell. Try to avoid them.

I do use FB from time to time but use a different browser just to log in and out. No pursuit in finding out what I do or don't do/// Naive on my part I know.

How much did everybody make, of the Facebook shares ? Well a .38 cent return on 38.00 per share, almost as much of a joke as Facebook itself.

I can this meagre return, scaring off a few investors, from Facebook real fast, the media have already attacked the float as an over hyped joke, and the only people who made money out of it was Bono from US ( at 2 billion) the suckerber him self, and a few other that put money into it years ago.

I can't wait for monday when shares really start to sink :D

Shares stumble

I hear people saying it's declining but at the same time subscriber numbers are increasing. It can't be both. Unless revenue is down somehow? I guess people could be leaving without turning out the lights.

It's probably to do with rate of growth. Remember how everybody was saying that the iPod was dead because although sales were increasing, the rate of increase was decreasing.
You might not know it to look at me, but I'm pretty radical.

I'm not surprised. I think there were expectations of something like that.

Ok, time for our thursday morning chuckle.

Facebook's shares dropped to an all-time low of $25.75 on Tuesday, more than 30 percent below their offering price. The No. 1 social network has shed about $32 billion of its value since its haphazard May 18 IPO. :41:
