Computer worlds latest Blog, seems to be trying to pant some sort of gloomy picture that apple might as well pull up stumps now, if they can knock samsung, off their number #1 perch if the iPhone is not as ground breaking as the original iPhones was.
Whats everybody think, has the iPhone become stale.
To be fair its not really changed thats much since the first iPhone, except for a glass back and a few other minor touches, ( excluding software os course) , so is the iPhone dated? or is it still relative, and trend setting?

I don't care if Apple isn't number one as long as they stay great.

To me it's more not changing the specs of the phone and the OS that can cause their downfall.
If you look at most touch screen smart phones today they are all just a pane of glass, and most of them look like an iPhone.
What really makes them different is the OS.
I'm with Alex, the OS needs some changes..... Bring on widgets and the ability to change settings such as turning on/off Bluetooth, airplane mode etc with one swipe from the home screen.

As much as this would be nice, I can't see Apple giving us such control. If Lion has shown us anything, it is that Apple is removing our ability to customize the user settings of our products, and they aren't as responsive to acknowledging / making user requested improvements. Sure, we eventually got the mute/ rotate option, but there are plenty of other complaints that remain unresolved (admittedly they are OS X related though).

I love the sleek design, the colours, the concept and the wrap around idea but if this wraparound is too sensitive it could be a real pain. Tho, it has a lock mechanism, it could be tricky. I have this sort of problem with my B......Y Nokia. Too sensitive screen that is a hindrance.
