Ok guys, I don't want to hear your comments on my reversal and change of heart in favour of 4S (Iphone that is) I know I am ashamed.

But I must say that I have'd the Nokia!

Can you tell me or advise what is the best deal to have in town? No plans but where to buy the Iphone 4s. Reputable sellers...apart from APPLE that is. and unlocked!

Thanks.

Ha...I knew you would come back to the iPhone....:-)

Now chuck that Nokia in the bin!

On Kogan's website, they sell the iPhone 4S a little bit cheaper than if ytou were to buy it directly from Apple.

I think Kogan is a grey importer of Apple products. It's legal but there is some question about warranty status and Apple support in Australia. I don't know of any major retailers that sell the 4S unlocked, I think most make their money through carrier commissions. You can find places that do sell them unlocked online, but I haven't heard of those particular retailers.

ok . There are retailers that are selling unlocked phones Mobilciti. com.au .

I have purchased a few products from them before. So I think I might go back with them. I was just sounding you guys if you knew anything better.

But you have to be careful about 2 things when you buy much cheaper Iphone.

Ok we know about unlocked phones this is the easy part. But you also have branded phone. Let me explain. These are the phones attached to carriers i.e Optus, Telstra etc./ They order a certain amount of phones then can't sell fast enough. There are all sorts of stories attached to that also. They Get rid of the surplus and they are made to these carriers specs. Hence if you bought a Vodafone branded phone you will end up here where I am with no signal at all. Because Vodafone does not operate that much in rural areas.

Ex: My husband had a Nokia branded to Telstra, when we changed carriers( too expensive to run) I bought Amaysim ( Optus network) the bloody thing would not work at all. Rung Telstra and Optus and I found out that they tweak (apparently) their wave length to their specs... True or not I don't know. But I can confirm one thing is that when I bought another Nokia for my husband (unlocked and not branded like the Telstra one) ...I had perfect reception and great coverage.

So here we go. Thanks for the input and shall proceed.

Gosh! Ken that is exactly what I was discussing with my husband right NOW. So don't worry I might hold on for just a couple of months. Then I will be able to brag and........... Brian will be really jealous!

You'r on Ken.

I certainly will wait and get the new one. But it is sheer agony, I can tell you. Especially if you have your mind on it and ready to go. It has even decided to start mocking around this bloody Annoykia. It does not like me anymore and I don't like it either. But have to be patient!
