No. Droidbois are bigger nut jobs than Apple fanboys. :)

Not really surprising I think. A survey of 1007 random people (from a country of 311,800,000) - its more a survey of 'which of these 4 vaguely related companies have you heard of?'.
The report says Googles 'Project Glass' added to their popularity. Really? Of those 1007 random people, how many had even heard of that project?

I also question the definition of the 'top 4 tech companies'. By what calculation does Twitter make the top 4? According to wikipedia, in 2011 of the top 150 tech companies globally by revenue, the top 4 with US headquarters were HP, AT&T, Apple and IBM (Microsoft coming in at 6 on that list, Google at 12, Facebook is last and Twitter not even on it).

So, a pointless survey, with an even more pointless result - and it managed to suck me in - D'oh!

Google is far more than "just a search engine". Google is also Google Maps, Android phone/tablet OS, the Chrome web browser, GMail and associated services and probably much more that I have forgotten.
I just keep kicking myself that when they got in contact with me about 8 or 9 years ago and asked if I would be interested in working for them I said no. I could have had a very very different life now if I had chosen to have an interview with them. Oh well hind site is always 20/20 I guess.

I know, was just kidding, but to suggest its more popular than Apple, well, not to me. They don't product anywhere near the great products we enjoy and find essential in our daily lives.
