But you have to jail break your phone. I am sure not too many people would want to do that. But I know lots of people that do. But would not do it as it it would void your warranty with Apple.

Most of the telcos in Australia provide a usage meter for free now, without the need for jailbreak. I know that Telstra has a couple of ways to access it and they are pretty reliable...

Not yet, but we just had a delightful Thai meal at the Churchill Arms in Kensington!

Back to great food country tomorrow, staying with a friend in Burgundy for a few days before heading for home (in Lorraine!)
But the Amaysim App only works over wifi here - data is too costly! .
sigh,

Data is not too too much with Amaysim, Been to Tassie a few weeks ago and used a little data and @5ct aMB not too much. But in all fairness have not used too much data.
PArent Company in France of Amaysin is SYmio which I used last year and it is useless even to travel in Europe. Tried in Prague and Italy found it frustrating as it would not send SMS from "abroad". They may have changed since last September. Not sure. I know that they are expensive....FREE is not bad also.
Enjoy the food for me!
Cheers
