Well it just points to further information, that there will be a full blown Apple TV, that you will use your iPhone or Touch or iPad to control.

well the remote app for iOS controls your Apple TV which i think will just get enhanced for future Apple TV update

I think it will be a test bench for the actual TV.. its a great way to beta test a new remote
