There goes all hope of getting the April issue before we head off on the 1st!
Are we back to the good old days when subscribers are the last in line?
Cheers,

Remember in 2012 Macworld is available on the 1st Wednesday of every month, if it is delayed for any reason we'll jump on here and let everyone know.
So March Issue was the 7th and April Issue is Wednesday 4th

Looks like it. I'm back to the old days. It was in the newsagents last Wednesday but not in my PO Box until today - 12/03/12
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Having said that, if you subscribe for the digital copy through the Macworld site links or on Zino web site you will be safe for a refund if your not happy with its offerings, on the other hand if you purchase subscriptions through the Zino app purchased through iTunes you cannot receive a refund as per Apple terms and conditions. the misses subscribed to better homes and gardens through the Zino App and unfortunately were un able to get a refund due to this very rule, however Zino still is offering us an option for another subscription to what we choose but no refund.
Sorry may have gone a bit off topic but thought i would mention this.

I reckon I could have bought it in a newsstand in Melbourne and jogged home to Qld in less time this is indeed the same problem we had a few years ago and something needs to be done to ensure that subscribers are treated as customers!
How can it be that in the same time period (between publishing the magazine and having it delivered to my address) I have had delivery of three items bought from overseas (HongKong, US and UK respectively) and have had a new credit card produced and forwarded to my address?
Australia Post is only slow it seems when mailing Macworld magazine.
I am sorry for the facetiousness, but perhaps the person who is responsible (figuratively) for licking the stamps needs an assistant so that all magazines can be mailed in an equitable time?
Thanks,
P

We were talking about this in the office today, and agree that the subs copies have to go out earlier so this doesn't happen.
I'll ask the subs guys to post here once they've worked out a solution.
Or we'll offer a pair of trainers as the next subs offer!
(Sorry ... mustn't make light of it. Will get it sorted out.)
Cheers

It was rather out of control a few years ago, and I gather what ever was the cause it's happening again!
Take your time, I leave Aus on the 1st April so won't get April and May's issues till our visitors bring them in Late May anyway, then I get to read June - September's in one hit just before October arrives!
So as long as it's sorted by October I'll be a happy camper.
Nice issue by the way - the last few have been consistently terrific. (See, I'm not grumpy all the time!
Cheers,
P

WOW!
I have been waiting for this to occur for several years.
Has a decision been reached yet?
My May copy arrived in my mail box yesterday 11/05/12 and thats been par for this course for all these years.

I left Aus on 1st April, and had a daughter come to visit departing on the 26th May. She collects our mail in our absence (it's redirected to her house) and she arrived with all the Macworld Magazines that have arrived between the 1st April and the 26th May.
ONE!
OK to be fair perhaps it's expecting a bit much for the June edition to be out by the 26th May, but the April one should have been!
Also to be fair, I have not yet contacted the subscription department and if that one did not turn up, (and I stress that I am going off a bit half cocked here, as I haven't double/triple checked the redirection records yet) that would be the second or perhaps third magazine to go astray in the last two years, which is not a terrific batting average. I don't have these issues with others that I subscribe to, and the odd hiccough is to be expected every now and then, but this seems to be more than that?
Would you care to comment further Dave? Having subscribed almost since inception, it's really only been the last few years that I can recall having troubles of this nature, so there has to be something in the system that's changed to cause the trouble.
Can you change back?
Or is it just coincindence?
Cheers,
P

Yeah I think this is probably the wrong place to complain ... far better (and quicker) just to sort out individual problems via email or phone.
Ours subs department operates separately to us, so all I can do is pass this on to them. (Which I have.)
To tell you the truth, I have no idea. But they should.
Sorry.
Cheers

Hi Ken
I've been told we're now going to be hitting newsstands on about the 5th of every month now. So the frequency of the mag stays the same, but it goes from first week to first week instead of last week to last week.
Not something I necessarily agree with, but I'm assured there are sound reasons behind it.
Cheers
