I got a hankering to watch Gladiator, went to see if it's in iTunes and there it was in HD glory - for sale. AND it's cheaper than in the US store. Anyone know what's going on? Not that I'm complaining mind you!

I thought there had always been HD movies in the iTunes Store.
You might not know it to look at me, but I'm pretty radical.

I thought they'd only been for rent, not to buy. Maybe I was mistaken.

Fricken 4 hours to download a HD movie for me at the moment, the thing that i forgot when ordering the new ATV was my carrier speeds, Im thinking streaming 1080p will probably be to hard to achieve in our current location.
Well if we all are going to pay for the NBN as tax payers and we are beyond the point of no return..... at least by now i can start saying, hurry up NBN pleeeeeeease!!!.
As a joke to my wife last night I said we are moving, why she asked, so we can get better connection speeds for our gear.....well did i cop it.....all good thou, maybe shouldn't have let it go for so long, but was a classic "not happy Jan".

Is the NBN past the point of no return? I'm in 2 minds about it.

I'm on satellite broadband and I can download a SD movie faster than I can watch it. Usually. I don't do it often because I get shaped after 2gb peak/8gb off peak.
And for that reason I won't bother with HD.

It doesn't get any more rural.
Well, in a few years it'll be desert, so in that sense, it also can't get any less rural.
