Looks like the new iPad will be announced next week.

I was just about to write about that... It's about time..... I can't wait for the silly home button to disappear from the iPhone. It gives me grief everyday.

So I wonder how you do a reset without the home button? No I won't be lining up but it's the number one present on my birthday list. :)

I'm there for sure. I'll be in Melbourne next week for work so probably won't be able to line up but I'm guessing we won't be seeing it until the following week at least, at which point I'll be back home and have plenty of time to waste on pavements...

Because the iPad is in landscape mode...

He he. Ken, it's actually wishful thinking. I was just given my first flat screen HDTV (yes! parents upgrading their 18mo old LCD to an LED)! Previously was using a CRT HDTV with no HDMI, so ATV 2 was irrelevant. But now I'm holding off to see if something is announced on the 7th. If not I may just go ahead and get an ATV2 and move the ATV1 into the living room with the old tele.

There has to be an on/off button... So perhaps you have to push it a certain amount of times in a code like fashion to get it to do a hard reset...;)

Good riddance to the home button!

All the multi touch gestures in ios 5 prove a home button isn't needed.

Nothing better than a bit of pavement wastage, especially when it involves Apple and something shinny and new.

The new Samsung galaxy tab is out with a quad core processor, and 4G speed... Something I doubt the iPad 3 will have :P
