Ios 5 Gripes And Happiness

Reminders - Can't get location to work on my 3GS or iPad 2 (the iPad's not an issue as wifi only). Another useless iOS app cluttering up the home screen. They all get stuffed in a folder out of the way. Hopefully a glitch that can be fixed.
iCloud mail - Doesn't let you use your own domain. Sucks. Stuck with Gmail.
Ambivalent about:
Newstand - unless Macworld moves there I don't see myself using it but it won't go into my Apple junk folder or my books folder. Grrr.
Happy with:
Message Centre - brilliant. Highly configurable and basically very useful.
Calendar - might actually make sense on a touch device now and have moved it out of my Apple junk folder and into the dock to try it out.
Messages - won't do me much good unless my friends upgrade. I think many of them still have the iPhone 3G.
iCloud - seems to work and assuming no major issues looks very good. I'm moving my calendars from Google to iCloud.
Photostream - works with Aperture. Yay! A separate icon in the library so it doesn't get in the way of anything. I have multiple libraries so we'll see how it goes, but hopefully will stick with my default one. But seriously - I can't delete images from it? Still, at least you can delete it from other locations. Guess it kind of makes sense. Just don't take anything you don't want anyone to see!
Camera - better faster and physical shutter trigger, even on my 3GS. Yay! Hopefully some of the 3rd party apps can incorporate, although Camera+ seems faster, at least.
Gestures - pretty cool on the iPad.

I've tried listening to music and podcasts, as well as video on my iMac as well as both iOS D's... ...and id doesn't seem to be working...
I'm stumped...

That happened to me too Ken this morning after a nightmare of a time with it. I just did a restore from backup which solved the issues.
What a mess it was this morning. A total debacle.
Now saying that I just did my iPad and it worked flawlessly.
It was just the wrong time of day to do it. I hope I can keep to my word but for iOS 6, I'll wait till the evening to update once the frenzy has calmed down. That's what caused all the issues.

One thing I forgot to mention was that when I tried to restore from backup iTunes told me my backup was corrupt.. I freaked for a second then the message disappeared and it started to restore.
Thank heavens it all worked out.

I have clicked on the Photo Stream icon in the menu bar on the left hand side, but all that appears there are instructions on how to use photo stream, the photos don't appear there?
If I drag photos to that icon, they appear in photo stream on my iOS devices but not in Photo Stream in Aperture??
How is it working for you?

Really Brian? Photo stream works really well, apart from not really working at all? Sorry but couldn't resist that one
Have you got it sorted? I've just updated my Aperture and will have a play this arvo, for me i think photo stream could be the most attractive bit of iCloud, we'll see.
Update 2 minutes later: Works great, looking at a picture i just took on my iPhone in Aperture on my mac, very impressed, hats off Apple.

I tested Photo Stream and it worked on my iOS devices, but didn't come up in the photo stream area in Aperture.
Just my luck that something else doesn't work.
Will test again tonight.
Can one of you please take a screen shot and post it up on where the photos are meant to be appearing in Photo Stream in Aperture.
I also have all the preferences and settings on to use Photo Stream.
