Plus cards app is live

Apple or so released movie trailer app ( but mayb us only)

Also released was an apple tv update and iPhoto had update too. + a safari update and OS x update. I think apple updated everything!

Well I just encountered a problem..I got an error saying the server is temporarily unavailable.

I thought that 1 Billion Data Centre would have sorted this out???

Well iOS 5 is slowly downloading, only 334 Meg to go out of 774.4 but I think starting work, may have to come as a priority, so it looks like I am in the same boat as the rest of you, it's going to have to wait until I knock off. :(

Wow there's a gig or more of update before even starting with iOS5, do we still need iPhone and iPad connected to download? I have to go to work and there is no way I'm leaving them at home.

What a mess.....I had to restore my phone to factory settings, then it let me restore from backup.

magically when all was completed, I had iOS 5 installed and most of my Apps, but not all of them....arghh..

Then when I tried to open any of the Apps they crashed every time.

I decided to do another restore from backup and now iTunes tells me my backup is corrupt.....there goes all my game scores...majorly pissed off.

Oh.......wait a minute.....as I'm writing this iTunes has decided to start syncing my Apps again.....lets see what happens after this.

Jamie, it's because you are super positive all the time, that's why it worked for you first shot.

I'm having major issues here.

Phew......

After saying my backup was corrupt iTunes decided to copy all my Apps back automatically and now everything is working fine.....

Don't ask me how I installed iOS 5 and how everything corrected itself......it seemed to do it by itself.

I think the moral of the story is wait till the servers have quietened down a bit then try and install a major update...otherwise it can crash your phone and cause problems.

Even though i say this...I will still be one of the first to try and install it as soon as i can....i never learn...:-)

I am soo jealous of all you guys and the opportunities you've given yourselves to test your troubleshooting skills!

Stuck here on next g with not much download left for the month as I am, I think I shall start tomorrow when I visit the grandboys!

By then, I reckon you'll be able to tell me how to get out of all my problems!

Cheers,

P
