Apple has now confirmed the sad passing of Steve Jobs
"Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being.
Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve has lost a dear friend and inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple".

It is true that most of us (in fact probably none of us) have ever meet the man but I am sure that we all feel a connection to him due to the wonderful devices that he has bestowed upon the world.
It is with some sadness that I glance at my iPhone knowing that the mind that created this special device is no longer with us, I just hope that perhaps he has gone to a better place.

He was a true inspiration, and has made such a huge impact on the world and my life.
I just walked past the Apple Store in Sydney and out of tribute stood there for a few minutes watching the film crews and reflecting on the greatness of Apple and the brilliance of Steve Jobs.
I am honoured to share this passion for such an amazing company and it's products with all of you on this forum.
RIP... Steve.

he changed the world...for the good and not just to make money and not many people out there can say that, and he did it to make the world a very different place than it was when i came into it, that is his legacy and his foundation stone and that was always the dream, change the world...and he did.
Thanks Steve...

People spent so many words and time spent pondering what Apple and life would be like without Steve. But you don't anticipate how wide the gap and how empty the void really is until it's reality.
A sad day for technology, design, community, communication, the arts, identity, culture, industry, innovation, the world.
A visionary lost can never be replaced.

I've had a really busy day at work and it's not until I've now gotten the chance to slow down and read the news that I really feel how much Steve Jobs means to me.
And like Pres Obama said, it really is a testament to the mark you've made on the world that most people hear about your death on a device that you created.
