When you look at the invite, it has the map showing apples campus, the date is Tuesday the 4th and the time is 10 am ( which all correspond ) with the place, the time, and the date... but here is the kick in the guts... you have a 1 in the missed call list

What the hell does that MEAN... ONLY one iPhone ???
What happened to two phones, and iPhone 4s and a much rumoured iPhone 5 ...

Clever reading into the invite... I wouldn't have thought that number 1 represented 1 iPhone. I need to learn Apples cryptic messages.
Also I think Tim Cook will do a great 'job' (he he)... At the end if the day it comes down to the hardware and software, not who presents it.... But I get where you are coming from Jamie... It won't be the same.
Now to work out how to get my hands in the new iPhone when I'm stuck in the middle of a contract with my iPhone 4. I wonder if Telstra will upgrade me free of charge... Probably not a hope in hell...
Maybe if I smile that might work.... Hmmm any ideas anyone without having to buy the new model outright??

Buy it outright, oop's sorry Brian, you see there is a benefit of purchasing outright.....

No harm in trying.
I still dont see the benefit in buying it outright. It costs around $800 and then you still have to go on a BYO plan or pay as you go. Ends up costing alot that way.
Prove me wrong Mick.

TL didn't you do the maths on this? Buying outright can end up cheaper?
There's a lot of ways to look at this BB. Buying outright gives you the freedom to switch carriers and plans when ever your want.
On the other hand I've got both my iPhones for "free". But obviously the cost of the phone has been spread across the two year contracts.
I'm not really sure which way ends up cheaper. I just think it's which ever way works for you. Normally I'd go for the phone free within my contract. But my wife needs a new iPhone as she has the 3G and it's painfully slow. She's happy to have my 4 and for me to buy a 5/ 4S.

Well as JZ said Brian, you have the freedom, work out how much you have paid back for your iPhone on the plan your on, I am sure my outright purchase and the $20.00 / month it costs me to run the thing is cheaper.
I will recycle my iPhone 4 to Lisa, (lets see if she drops this one into the toilet), I will buy the 5 outright and the whole process starts again. No two year contract, no "plan" as it's a plan to take your cash. I will stand by my "plan"
as it's a better option for me. Brian go on another telco plan, do the numbers and lets see in 12 months if you have spent more than me! if I have, well break out the hats.....
