Hi Everyone,
I reckon my favourite story in the last couple of weeks – even with the launch of iOS 5 and the iCloud – is definitely the proposed 'spaceship' for Apple's headquarters in Cupertino. The thing looks absolutely stunning, particularly with the bushlands and orchards right in the centre of the building.
I'm a real sucker for audacious architecture, but I think this building represents what I like most about the company. It's no-expense spared, wilfully different and totally unprecedented. Plus, it looks like Apple are having a crack at sustainability with this development too, which is a welcome change for the company.
Jobs' address to the Cupertino city council (which we've included in the article) is also totally hilarious - his response to requests for free wi-fi is classic.
What do you guys think about the design? Innovative or eyesore?
Here's the story here if you haven't read it already. http://www.macworld....-takeoff-32304/

Looks like an incredible piece of architecture to me, I think that it will look amazing - and (as I have said before) I'd give anything to work there!!
Common sense is like deodorant. The people who need it most never use it.

I think it looks amazing. At least it's not a huge sky scraper, so I think it will blend in nicely.
It will become the next tourist attraction in the USA, I'm surprised they didn't put a roller coaster in the middle...
I hope Steve does get to see it finished. Let's be optimistic about that.
