Perhaps things have become too predictable for Apple and they want stir things up a bit.. Create a bit more mystery.

The iPhone 4 is an amazing phone and doesn't really need to be upgraded by June.

It will be interesting to see what unfolds.

I'm just hoping there are some more surprises from Apple before June.

They are saying an October release, part of the plan I am guessing, is to keep the focus in June on Lion and iOS 5, which is probably not all that silly.

Considering it's the world wide developers conference and not the world wide next iPhone conference it makes perfect sense.

I couldn't help myself... I bought an appleTV even though I have not quite solved my sound problem! (no HDMI so using HDMI to DVI but that is another story posted elsewhere!) I am hoping they keep the aptv updates coming and perhaps even see some ios apps on it! Or iPhone games mirrored to the tv!

I'm excited now Mick..:) I hope iOS 5 is released in June at least.. Even though a new iPhone may not be coming out. I'm hoping for widgets to make an appearance... Oh the joys if speculation. I love it...:)

Ok, since this was posted back in March, it's been pretty quiet.. So with the keynote now less than 10 days away, let's crank up the expectations..

Here is my take on it.

iOS 5 to be available the same day as the keynote

Lion also to be available at the same time, but initially only avaiable via apples app store

iPhone 5 to make it's appearance, but not available until September, with an A5 processor, and an 8 Meg camera

IWorks and iLife to be updated

ICloud, to make it's first appearance.

And my one more thing !!

Steve jobs to step down from apple and a Tim Cook will be appointed new CEO of apple

I totally agree with Jamie.

How can iLife be updates Ken, it just came at the end of last year.

Tim Cook CEO of Apple....not likely.

Further to speculation, widgets in iOS 5 and a better notification system are likely. To me those are 2 key things that have to happen in iOS in order to compete with Android.

The one more thing will be:

' To the dedicated contributing Forum Members of Australian Macworld, you will have free Apple products for the rest of your lives'...... :apple: :yahoo: :41:

Now I'm excited....bring on WWDC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
