Best tools for recovering music from an iPod? Here are a few options; any others you recommend?

Trying to recover music from an iPod can be a frustrating exercise but here are a few programs that make it easier.

Have you ever had to call on one of these in a pinch? Any useful tools that should be listed but aren't?

I used Senuti to recover my library from my old click wheel iPod earlier this year when my external drive went down. It was quick and painless.

I used Senuti a few years ago when it was free, and that was quite good.

I only came across one reference to the iPhone and iPod touch and that was to state that one of the tools couldn't be used with those devices. Can the other apps recover music from an iP* device?

I'm guessing that the answer is "no" given the differences in architecture and design philosophy between iP* devices and the media player-type iPods.
