Yep, new iMac is pretty darn sweet. Photoshop editing is zippy. Aperture runs on greased lightning.
But while the aluminium shell is sweet, I'm seeing arcs jumping between Firewire and USB plugs as I connect the cables.
Is this a bad thing?

Not really, as the both naturally carry a small amount of current through them.

This happens on my PowerBook from time to time, nothing to worry about.
