we are starting to look for some quality educational software for kids - 4+ year old.
Anybody got any suggestions of some good quality software that educates kids while still being a bit of fun for them?
ideally Mac software, but can run windows if necessary through parallels...

Have you tried 'Reading Eggs' ( google it ) it works off flash 10 so you need to have at least tiger OS
and you can purchase the cds / books / or pay the fee and work of the website itself
well worth looking at - oh and did I say that it looks like it is Australian too.

thanks coolcat. We'll have a look at it. For some reason I was expecting more around the place: the Apple online store has only six paying ones, so it seems to quite limited.

thanks again coolcat. we have just got around to looking at reading eggs and it looks pretty good. We'll give it a try!

yep, thanks for that. That's where I got the figure 6 from on my post above: limit your link to primary and you got this many
not much, but as you say, a good place to start looking...
