"Rumour" - TL, spelt with a "u" in the Queens English. smile.gif

I'm wondering how close it will be to the release of the rumoured new iPhone?

I did read the article and my position as to the release date has always been WWDC. The article appears to confirm that opinion.

I was wondering because I registered as a developer when I downloaded the free iphone SDK, does this mean I can get a snow leopard developers preview or not?

$3500 wow that's insane, gee you better get online with the rest of us at 10am or what ever time it's available and save yourself $3350 bucks. Assuming it's around $150 copy. I know that's what I will be doing.

I normally pre order, so it usually turns up the day of release. Which is really handy, and saves a lot messing around.

While I was on the phone to Apple the other day ordering my iMac, The staff member said I hope you enjoy your new iMac..... I'm like YES ill be happy as long as you don't release the new OS in the next few months... He laughed and said no comment in a suspicious voice tone.

So i'm sure Snowy isnt too far away lol

I'm looking forward to the Snow Leopard Intro movie (presuming it's not the same as Leopard's)

Despite my gripes with the iPhone, still far from perfect, I will get SL the second it comes out. Leopard was a big improvement on Tiger, I expect SL to be a big improvement where speed is concerned. Hence my willingness to try it.

My experience with new full releases from Apple are all good. They are far less likely to release something that will break a complete system out of the box.

If you use plug-ins and add-ons then you may face a world of pain. I never use them so my experiences are good.

My only problem was a lack of support from Adobe CS2 for Leopard. That was on the designers machine so it doesn't affect me from day to day unless I go there to find some files and don't have Quicklook! D'OH!
I thought I was wrong once...but I was mistaken

I'm waiting until Snow Leopard is bundled with iWork and iLife 09. Or maybe even 10 . . .
You might not know it to look at me, but I'm pretty radical.

I waited for Leopard and wasn't sorry. I actually received the upgrade with a new (Tiger) machine that I purchased just after the announcement but before shops were selling Leopard loaded. This deliberate ploy meant that I got a Tiger machine, which I wanted, but also got the Leopard upgrade disk for next to nothing. I then waited some months before installing it. That was for all sorts of reasons: waiting for cosmetic irritants to be sorted out, various small tweaks and, most important, for my software needs to fall into line with the new OS. I was very, very pleased when I made the leap to Leopard, but I was also glad that I waited.
