Like I said in my first post boring, how many people here will really waste 1 h and 12 odd minutes of their life watching the most boring macworld in history ? Anybody want to fess up to watching it ?? Anybody
I've downloaded the keynote podcast and I have started watching it. I watched as far as the demo of iMovie, then I stopped. I thought to myself, this is way to cool, I have to show this to my dad. So I grabbed him and we both sat in front of my computer and watched the keynote.
We watched the iMovie bit first, every couple of minutes we would pause it and say to each other that is just so awesome, remember how long that used to take? Holy crap! Did you see that? Wow!
We were really excited by the demo of iMovie.
Then we watched the demo of iPhoto. Again we were sitting there in absolute amazement, we paused it every couple of minutes to talk about a particular feature. I am very impressed by Apple's attention to detail, Faces is so well thought out, the way the photos automatically focus on a face, the way you confirm who is in the photo. Did you see the part were Phil showed us how to confirm multiple photos? Just drag the mouse across, so easy, so simple and so amazing.
I haven't watched anything else yet, just iPhoto and iMovie but so far the keynote has been a blast.
Apart from one thing.
My dad commented on Phil's showmanship, he said that he wasn't being very emotive, you could tell when he was getting exited because he would talk faster but beyond that he wasn't doing much to get us excited about the products, but then the products themselves were enough to get us excited.
And here's something of note, my dad doesn't pay attention to any of the Apple news or rumours. He didn't know that Steve usually does the keynote so that is his totally unbiased opinion, Phil isn't a good presenter, his skills do need to be developed. But the things he was talking about more than make up for it. I look forward to watching the rest of the podcast and to purchasing iLife 09.
