Hi All,

I'm new to Mac and love it, that is until my husband upgraded my laptop to Lion!!!! Since the upgrade I am having problems when I try and forward an email with an attachment it tells me its a bad format Id and will not forward, this has only started since I have had Lion, I am ready to throw the laptop across the room grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr PLEASEEEEEEEEE any suggestions greatly appreciated in simple to understand Mac language please .

Welcome to the forums Sharon, when you say it gives up an error, how are you attaching the file, are you drag and dropping it on mail, or selecting a file to attach, and lastly what sort of files are they, word files, picture files ?

Hi there Ken

When I try to forward on an email that has say a word document as an attachment, normally I would just hit forward and pop the address in then send which I can seem to do with some old emails that have word documents attached, however the latest emails with attachments since having Lion just won't let me forward them on, I haven't tried to forward pics or anything like that since having Lion its only been for example a word document thats just a report, so I haven't dragged or dropped anything just opened the email I want to send and then hit forward as I would normally do thats when the fun starts. Its probably me being the dummy but its driving me crackers .

I am guessing emails without attachments are fine ?

I am just trying to establish if something has gone either haywire, with lion upgrade, which can happen, or if setting has somehow got switched on which is preventing, any attachment from being sent.
