Thanks david listening to it now, O as a side note who wrote view from the edge this month ? Chris or David

EDIT: oops scrap the question, the answer was in the podcast. O and the Two A's need a new 3Gs iphone with a compass

TL

EDIT :

Much improved, i wonder if its possible to have some sort of music as you cut to each segment for a second or two, and maybe even some very very low music playing in the back ground, to sort of take a way from the emptiness of the podcast?

O and what lively debate on the Forums... Here, Buy Who, and When tongue.gif

Thanks for the thoughts. I totally agree re emptiness, especially when there's only one voice, which is why we try to keep these parts pretty short. There is music under these solo pieces and my introductions - as usual - but I've pulled it back a bit after listener feedback that it was a bit loud. I usually let Beer o'Clock run under it's own steam - the same with the extended discussions/interviews.
Do you think we should have a soundbed under those too? I thought it might get a bit annoying after a few minutes.

Depends on how loud it is Keith, if its way way in the back ground, i think it will fill in the void a little bit, also i liked Chris introduction to David, i think that could sort of become a part of every podcast, so we can actually know more about all you guys, and maybe even some of as time goes on ?

Lol me and my big mouth biggrin.gif ok you have a deal but you need to give me a few days to get over the flu, unless you want to record foghorn leghorn with a sore throat tongue.gif. And come to think of It I sound more like a plain foghorn in bass straight.

I suppose on the possitive side i can add it my inteview list, including one with Anthony at the chadstone apple store oppening, which ended up on the cutting room floor and my 4 corners interview tongue.gif

I listened to the latest podcast today, I think episode 3 was the best of the bunch so far, I still didn't like the singing news thing, and still find the "beer o'clock" background noise distracting. Maybe what TL mentioned, with the low background music might help with the "emptiness".

I have been listening to the podcast for a while - I think about episode 20.

I like the old podcast format. I would listen to it while I did the dishes, in the car, whilst walking the dog and it always felt the same - like I was listening to a conversation about mac stuff. The podcasters weren't always clear or concise but it felt like a conversation with passionate mac people.

The current format feels sterile. I don't find it informative or enjoyable to listen to. I have listened to the first 4 episodes of series 2 and nothing has happened to change my mind.

Maybe I am in the minority.

Maybe Matthew's voice had grown on me and I miss it - sad.gif

I am not sure.

But I do miss the old style of podcast.

Welcome to the AMW Forums, mitch.

Maybe you need to listen to it in the pub to appreciate Adam and Anthony's segment!
