Not sure Brian. The new camera and Siri are very tempting but if I buy this one I might not be able to get the 5. But I've been thinking is better to buy the "S" models intsead of the regular one? What I mean is buy iPhone 4S then iPhone 5S and so on...

Jamie, I reckon it's always an incremental upgrade so not much pain skipping a model regardless how it's numbered. Or alternatively, there's always something juicy and tempting so never a good time! Either way...

Woo hoo, I am now the proud owner of an email!

And that email says I am getting a 32gig iPhone 4S delivered in a week :)

Hey, i also ordered the black 64 GB model literally seconds after the store came back up and with the shipping date on the 14th does that mean itll arrive on the 14th or does that mean that the 14th is the day apple ships it to us? Im curious :)

It should arrive in your hot little hands on the 14th, just bare in mind your current sim card won't fit, you will need to get a micro sim for it.

I need to do that Sam as I have a couple of months on my contract that I might as well use. What did they say? Is it possible and are they going to charge you for the privilege?

They said it was easily done and Im nearly positive they said it would be 40 Dollars to do it which is ok for the price i guess.

Yet again NZ is left behind, not even a mention of the 4S on the NZ Apple Store website. I suspect after the totally botched launch by Vodafone last time Apple won't bother wityh NZ until right at the tail end of the release.

Yep IslandHead, I'm trying to be but rather sleep deprived at the moment (haven't slept well in about a week) - but on the plus side have 2 job interviews next week and I'd say that once I get into a job where I am actually able to use, and enhance,my skillset that I will feel a lot better about life.

Very funny Ken! But at times it does feel a bit like statements like that aren't all that far from the truth.

Ken, I think the donation is a wonderful idea. I don't think that anyone here would rather have the sub than see the money going to a worthy cause.
