now im starving this week,aaaah,anyway,
if anyone who reads this is interested in how well the new 11"air plays games,i feel compelled to let you know,it actually really rocks,i tried a demo of halo air,and i was surprised how well it coped with it,i also played a demo of amnesia and it killed it,the halo demo i ran for about nearly two hrs,and it didnt even get that hot, just a bit warm underneath,to be expected of course,i had the video specs up toward the higher settings,i just cant believe how well it copes, with even modern titles,i never got it for gaming, but its good to know anytime it has the goods.hope this helps anyone who is contemplating getting the new air,its quite a snappy machine,

Ha,ha,ha, love it! Welcome to my world Media Sorcerer, I have so much stuff because I see it, and just have to have it! But as much as I lust over the Air, so far I have resisted on the basis the my iPad fills the spot, but who knows how I'll feel next week!

I do a lot on the iPad and love it, I suspect the Air would give me all that and more but the loss of the touch interface is really the thing that holds me back.
Also in testing your unit are you travelling on public transport etc (or better yet a plane)? These are situation where the iPad is a stand out and depsite its smaller size I suspect the Air would run into the usual problems in those cramped environments with the screen needing to tilt etc.

Any questions on what it's like? I'm very tempted to sell my iPad and get one of these instead.
I've had a couple of plays on one and I can see why you would want to sell your iPad. It's definitely Apples netbook solution, but of course Apple does it the best!
It would be awesome if the Airs screen folded right back onto itself so it becomes a flat screen and then it turns into a touch screen like the iPad. Then you would have the best of both worlds. I think this is a possibility. Probably won't happen, but it would be awesome if it did.

The battery is great too, big enough I can take it out with me without lugging around the charger, I rarely use my computer for 5 hours without a charge anyway.
oh i hear ya buddy,im still loving mine,to be able to pak it off anywhere easy, and have that lovely bright glass screen, dainty keyboard but very useable,i still love using it many weeks later,i love the 11 inch size, its just perfect,

i thought the same thing the other day, wonder when some computer maker will do that,or i had another idea, have a double screen,ie,one on each side, not just facing inwards,so wen u shut it,you have a tablet on top,
