Morning one, morning all,

As I am sure you are all aware, CES chaos has broken free from the race gates this week, unleashing a barrage of 'unveils', announcements and some pretty nifty gear. We're getting excited putting together our special CES gadget guide for the Feb issue of the magazine, showcasing all the cool stuff you wish you had thought of (and patented) first!

I know there's a lot of buzz surrounding the event, though I've never been myself. But I'm curious as to what you all think of CES? Are you on the edge of your seats waiting to see all the soon-to-be-released gadgetry? Is there a particular company or product you have your eye on?

A big topic of conversation has been Microsoft's Steve Ballmer and the company's last keynote address at the event. Any guesses on what you think will be revealed?

So far, I'm sensing that people either love or are completely unfazed by the event. But, honestly, who doesn't love a big reveal?

I wouldn't say I'm hanging on the edge of my seat, but I love seeing what new gadgets are coming out.

I would love to go to CES one year. I think it would be really cool.

Even though Apple doesn't exhibit there, there will be heaps of products that connect to iPods, iPads, iPhones etc. which is cool in itself...:)

Yawn. I remember when 3D TVs were all the hype. What a great idea that turned out to be. Interested in seeing industry trends but most of the stuff's outside my budget anyway.

I like to see what other companies offer in the tech world (and then see apple top lol) but jokes aside I really do like to see what other great ideas are out and about. Especially companies where apple use their products such as gorilla glass etc. I also like what Sony has to say as I usually buy Sony products to fill the spots where apple arnt in (at the moment) such as tv's, camera, game consoles etc.

There is no such thing as an iPhone killer.

Every other phone is a rip off of the iPhone and don't you forget it!

If anyone is interested in a great video podcast...it's called 'Geek Beat TV'. The host is Cali Lewis and I just love her vibrant presentation style...some of you may think she is an annoying American...but I think she's awesome.

Besides giving weekly reviews on the latest tech gear that comes out, they always cover the major tech shows and she and her colleague John have a whole series of short snippets from CES where they go to different booths and check out products and talk to the people at the stands.

It's a great way to see what's coming out. I've been watching this podcast weekly for over a year and I really like them.

Check it out in iTunes. Geek Beat TV.
