Apple co-founder Steve 'Woz' Wozniak has sided with Australian consumers on the contentious topic of price discrimination, saying we shouldn't have to pay more for technology goods that cost much less in the United States. :italiamac_mazzodifiori:

The Woz, is an easy going sort of fella, maybe apple, should take him back and make him chairman or the board.

No votes for me today godon, my picture would scare the little kiddies away, just been testing my new cut throat razor, and after my first attempt i look like Norman Gunston.

I suspect that's because he can differentiate between "useful" technology, and the unnecessary stuff that is foist on consumers to generate commercial income! (NBN anyone?)

It's easy to explain the 20% disparity in hardware costs, (see the other thread), music and "content" is as the SMH suggests just a "Gouge", and microsoft (and other) products with their 300% markups are what happens when you let someone have a monopoly. (like apple's app stores?)

It's interesting that the focus on cost is on Microsoft, yet the term used is "iGouge" taking aim at Apple...
Cheers,

P

That's why I tweeted him yesterday, he said he had just finished the Harbour bridge climb.

He was only 15 mins away from me. I could have met him.

It would have been interesting to hear him talk, but man that price is outrageous.
