Yeah been away, all weekend.. had a ball now its back to the real world sadly of paying taxes, filling tax returns for june 30, etc etc, all the joys of being in business, o and plus getting ready for the rotten Carbon Tax here on July 1 ( Ouch) more expense i can do with out
and a major head ache being in my industry, plus lots of massive prices rises we have to factor in, which i am sure are going to make my customers cringe.

Yep Carbon tax not nice in your industry! Anyway how is charging a tax going to fix the hole in the ozone layer?
Ah yes that rumour can be put down to blind panic when the Mac started playing silly buggers and I was thinking we'd have to replace it. Happy to say that the Mac is back up and running now and after discussions with she who must be obeyed (or at least appear to be) we've decided to start saving up for a new Mac. Now I just have to save up around $3500 for the top of the range 27" iMac i5 with Applecare
(or wait till the next big interest free deal and DSE or Harvey Normans
)
Since you've been so busy I won't hassle you to see if you've had a chance to look for the Leopard 10.5 disc, but when/if you get a chance that will be great - no hurry.

I haven't forgotten, I have a factory and office where we work out of, and a storage locker I keep all my tax records and personal stuff in, which is about 50ks from the factory, so my guess is my Cds are in there with my company tax records ( its not too safe keeping tax records and other gear) in factory full of flammable liquids.
But with it being tax time, I will be down the storage locker in the next few days, to blow the dust off the locks to put tax stuff in there, so will defiantly have a look for the 10.5 cd.

Firstly, it's not about the hole in the ozone layer.
Secondly, the "tax" works by "encouraging" people towards low pollution alternatives. The best example is the generation of electricity. Currently (in WA, at least), it costs an extra 5.4 cents per unit to purchase "Natural Power," that is, power from renewable resources. (There is a slightly cheaper carbon offset option.) The carbon tax will raise the price of power produced by coal-fired power stations so that the option of renewable energy, which is currently more expensive, becomes the least expensive. This will encourage people to save money and switch to renewable energy.
That is about the most clear cut example available. From that point on it becomes a little murky, but the example should demonstrate the principle of "carbon tax."
You might not know it to look at me, but I'm pretty radical.

I don't have a problem with power generation, it's the add on costs of producing various hydrocarbons that are going to hit us all in the back pocket in some way or another. The carbon tax will destroy the A/C industry almost instantly, A/C gas goes from 31000 per tone, to over 87000 per tom, so let's hope people don't need to get there cars A/C regassed or home A/C or refrigerator.

Ok,
Bad news Jamie, I have been down the factory all day, finalising end of finical year stuff, and then down the storage locker, and NOT a single DVD to be found, no snow leopard, no tiger, leopard, not a cracker, I have been donating most of my iMacs to charity now every 12 to 18 months, i think i have been formatting them, and then including the dvd with the machine.
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.
