Just wondering, is there any way to access data stored on a NAS drive on an iOS device? I am using a 4th gen iPod Touch and a WD My Book World Edition NAS.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Don't worry; I found a Media Server feature on the NAS and it seems I can access files on it via Safari (and then play through Quicktime). Sorry!

That's really interesting, my first guess was it would be impossible. Can you post the link on how to do it, I would find it very ingesting.

I am pretty sure you can access WebDAV file shares but I cannot remember which app does this. Probably a few.

I use the Air Video app on my nas to watch my stored videos on my iPhone, iPad and ATV

The NAS had Twonky Media installed on it already. I just designated which folders on the NAS should be used as part of a mediaserver. It identified them and then even sorted them. I then created a link to the IP on my iPod home screen and it is working fine.

I'll post a few screenshots later.
